The Problem

A local fitness studio was running Facebook ads offering a free trial class. The ads were generating interest — but the owner was doing everything manually. Responding to enquiries, booking people in, sending class details, chasing no-shows after the fact.

The result was chaotic. Trial classes were half-empty because people who enquired never actually booked. Of those who did book, roughly 1 in 3 didn't show up. And of those who attended, only 38% converted to a paid membership — largely because there was no structured follow-up after the trial.

What We Built

Instant Booking Automation

Every new Facebook Lead Ad enquiry now triggers an instant SMS with a direct booking link for the free trial class. The lead receives a response within 60 seconds — before they've had a chance to look at another gym's website.

No-Show Reduction Sequence

After booking, every trial member receives: a confirmation SMS with class details and location, a reminder 24 hours before, and a final reminder 2 hours before. Each message includes a simple reschedule link for people who can't make it — which dramatically reduced last-minute no-shows and improved planning.

Post-Trial Conversion Sequence

This is what made the biggest difference to revenue. Previously, nothing happened after a trial class. We built a 7-day post-trial sequence: a same-day "how was it?" message, a membership offer with a time-limited discount 24 hours later, a follow-up 3 days later addressing common objections, and a final message on day 7. Conversion rate from trial to paid membership went from 38% to 65%.

Review Request After Sign-Up

New members who sign up receive an automated review request 72 hours after joining. The gym went from 31 Google reviews to 74 in 60 days, which moved them from position 6 to position 2 in local Google Maps results for "gym [city]."
